Improving our health and wellbeing can often involve the love and support of family and friends, including four-legged friends.
Did you know that Fleetwood Dog Club hold a get-together every Monday and Friday at The Mount or sometimes in Memorial Park. All dogs and 'well-behaved' humans are welcome to join the 1 hour, friendly group walk from noon.
And this week there's an extra treat ... Gail from the group is offering to take FREE digital photos of your pooches just like this beautiful image of her Czech Wolf Dog - all donations will be passed on to the Homeless Hounds charity. Gail will be at Burton's Team Room, the gatehouse building on Mount Road from 1pm - 2pm on Friday 6th March.
> Follow the Fleetwood Dog Club page on Facebook for more info about the group and the photo session
WYRE WHEELS returns to Fleetwood Memorial Park on Friday!
The adapted bicycles including trikes, side-by-sides, hand bikes, quad and wheelchair bikes are for anyone with limited mobility, a disability or is recovering from injury or illness and wants to get active. Meeting point is by The Pavilion, close to the Wolsley Road entrance of the park. There is a fee of £4pp per week. Volunteers to help with the sessions are also appreciated - training is provided.
Our best wishes to everyone for this year's Stadium Sleepout, raising awareness of the challenges faced by the thousands of people who sleep rough every night.

There's a new man in at Fleetwood Cricket Club with the news Derrik Foulkes has retired after nearly two decades as the Chair.
The Club say, "For 18 years, Derrik has been an incredible custodian of our club, truly doing every job under the sun. From rodding drains and fixing roofs, to repairing mowers and preparing wickets, there’s nothing he hasn’t given his time and effort to. Under his leadership, the club celebrated two Northern League titles, and there’s no doubt Fleetwood Cricket Club is in a far better place than when he took the role."
Derrik is succeeded as Chair by Neil Gregson, who has an association with the Club going back to 1987 as a player, coach and committee member. We wish ever success to Neil and the Club and trust that Derrik will continue to enjoy watching the games for many years.

Children and staff will be dressing up in costumes to celebrate their favourite literary characters, sometimes from the classics, often from more recent titles that have some of us saying "who's that?"
We look forward to seeing all the fabulous photos and videos being shared later in the week and hope that everyone has a great World Book Day.
St Nicholas Church Fleetwood is looking for donations of children's books for their free book-exchange. If you have anything that can be passed on, please call 01253 874402 or contact the church through their Facebook page here.
We hope you can join us this evening (Wednesday 4th March) at Emmanuel Church from 6.30pm for the Healthier Fleetwood Open Meeting ... it's our 10th Anniversary event!
