FREE 7 WEEK ABSTRACT ARTS COURSE
 

Over seven weeks, locally-based creative Tina Dempsey will share tips for abstract painting in a relaxed and friendly environment. The sessions will be on Thursdays from the 19th March at the Adelaide Street venue.

INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY WORKSHOPS
 

The team at Ember and Blossom CIC invite the community to join them for a series of workshops ahead of International Women's Day 2026.

You'll learn simple, accessible art techniques to create handmade flags representing women's voices, dignity and strength. Boys and men are very welcome to get involved.

The flags will be displayed at a parade in Fleetwood, Sunday 8th March.

FREE classes are held on Mondays from 10am to 12 noon - dates do vary.

There are several groups, all for adults and free unless stated.

Mondays at 12noon: Self-led art group for all skill levels.

Mondays at 1.30pm: Crafting group, open to all.

Wednesdays at 10am: Crafts and chat group, no need to book.

Wednesdays at 10.30am: Art group, led by a college-trained artist. £3pp.

Thursdays at 12 noon: Art group.

Fridays at 1pm: Art group.

Times and dates are subject to change, holidays etc.

Knitting

THE QUEEN'S CRAFT KNITTERS

Wednesdays: 2.15pm to 5.15pm (times may change)

If crafting and knitting in particular is something you enjoy or want to try ... The Crafty Knitters meet every Wednesday at The Queens.

The group is hosted by Andrea to bring people together for some fun and mutual support.

A safe space for people who just need a little 'me time'. Activities include crafts and baking along with the cuppas, conversation and company.
