Dr Mark Spencer - Health Ambassador & Director
Mark has been a GP in the town for 35 years and has been part of Healthier Fleetwood since the very beginning. He’s passionate about empowering people to take control of their own health, their own lives and their community. Mark has a number of leadership roles across the town focussed on addressing the wider determinants of health such as educational attainment, employment opportunities and volunteering, bringing about a more hopeful future for residents and for the town as a whole.
Pauline Kennedy - Chair of Residents & Director
Pauline says, "After a working career which included administration and soft skills training not to mention property law, I had just retired and was feeling very lost when I came across Healthier Fleetwood at its very inception. I have been involved from day one and I’m honoured to chair or should I say facilitate the monthly Healthier Fleetwood open meetings. I find the meetings inspirational, full of innovation and a joy to learn how much good is happening in our small town. It is my sincerest hope that we continue growing from strength to strength always bearing in mind that our residents come first."
Dave Carlos - Volunteer & Director
Dave says, "I have had over 20 years of experience working in or as a Director of registered charities and CICs after originally working as a teacher. I have supported the objectives of Healthier Fleetwood since its inception and this role is a natural development of my interest. In the future I would like Healthier Fleetwood to become part of Fleetwood’s social and health infrastructure, as well used as possible, profoundly improving local lives."
