GOOD NEWS - 24th July

This week we've been delighted to host the first of the Big HeArt project workshops at our Information Centre. Residents exchanged what they love about Fleetwood and what could be part of the trail of murals soon to appear across the Town.

Funding for the first piece has been secured and the workshops are a chance for people to be part of the creative process from the start.

Fleetwood-based artist Heather is leading the workshops and she took suggestions of places, people, events, phrases, songs, memories and more that have formed the community we know now. Over a very enjoyable couple of hours the group shared their ideas in writing and in sketches and it was a great start to what's going to be an amazing new attraction for Fleetwood and source of pride for locals.

A family workshop is planned for Monday 29th July at Strive, Flakefleet Primary School and young people using the new Youth Hub on North Albert Street are also getting involved. Dates and venues for additional workshops will be announced.
