We hope you enjoyed a lovely Easter and were able to spend some time with your friends and family.
Thank you to the local residents, groups and organisations for their Easter Egg collections, passing them on to children and families in the community. If you have some chocolate left, snap off a piece, make yourself a brew and enjoy some of the Good News we've heard about in the last week ...
Fleetwood Town and their North-West rivals Barrow met at Highbury Stadium on Easter Monday afternoon ... sadly for the fans, it ended in a 0-0 draw. Town and Barrow, are among the EFL clubs working in partnership with Macmillan Cancer Support and the League Two game was an opportunity to raise awareness of cancer.
Before kick-off players from both sides wore special t-shirts and staff from Macmillan based in Fleetwood shared information on a new prehab course with Fleetwood Town Community Trust. Sessions are held on Wednesdays from 1pm to 3pm at YMCA Thornton Cleveleys and include exercise, refreshments and a chat with the Macmillan team.
> For more information on the Rehab Course, call 01253 208442 or send an email to community@fleetwoodtownfc.com
There's plenty happening at The HUB Fleetwood with new activities starting soon and some Good News of our own to share!
Step Back In Time is freeform dance and movement for dementia and associated conditions ... 45 minutes of upbeat music, enjoyed seated, standing or around the room as the mood takes you! Sessions start on Mondays from May 12th, at 10am within the former Fleetwood Hospital building, hosted by Jules from Fitness 50 and staff from Fleetwood Town Community Trust ... and it's FREE to get involved!

We're delighted to announce extended opening hours for the Healthier Fleetwood Information Centre at The HUB Fleetwood.
In addition to the popular Friday sessions you can now call into the Centre on Tuesdays ... both days from 10am to 2pm. You will discover details of well over 100 groups, activities and events in and around the Fleetwood community, all supporting your health and wellbeing.
We will continue to review and add to our hours as other facilities open at The HUB ... news about the Community Cafe is expected soon. Please use the Bold Street entrance, follow the signage along the corridors past Macmillan Information and Support Service and Blackpool and The Fylde College.
We look forward to seeing you soon!
When you do visit The HUB, look out for a new display of artwork from a talented, local creative.
Fleetwood resident Joseph has kindly donated some of his fantastic sketches and paintings to exhibit on the walls, close to the Healthier Fleetwood Centre. Depicting the Town's iconic fishing vessels and buildings, some of the pieces were originally for projects launched over the last year ... Fleetwood Blue Plaque Trail and the Arts & Heritage Sketch Walks. They been used to create a series of Fleetwood-themed colouring sheets. Joseph says the work has also supported his wellbeing ... "It gives me focus and allows me to explore the world in ways that would not otherwise be possible due to my disabilities."
We have printed copies of the Sketch Walk colouring sheets at the Healthier Fleetwood Centre.
And there's also a new exhibition at The Gallery in Fleetwood Market.
Starting on 26th April and running through to the 31st May is 'Spring Transitions - A Set Of Field Notes'. You can view the exhibit market days: Tuesday, Thursday, Friday & Saturday 10am - 4pm.
If you are doing the 'big shop' at ASDA Fleetwood this Saturday you might need some help with your packing?
The 16th Fleetwood Scouts will be there volunteering and would appreciate a small donation towards their activities. Scouting is a great way for children to make friends, gain self-confidence and learn skills for later life.
As part of the Action for Wellness campaign in partnership with the NSPCC, Healthwatch Lancashire are holding 2 online webinar sessions for parents.
These will help parents to find out more about Childline, a partnered service from the NSPCC. Childline is a free 24/7 service for children and young people up to the age of 19. Parents will learn more about what Childline is, the resources available and confidentiality.
The two webinar sessions over 6th & 7th May include the same content.
