There's been some great work and a lot of fun in our schools during the Summer holidays thanks to the partners in the Healthy Heads Education team.

Children at St Mary's Primary School have been enjoying cookery classes creating some delicious dishes, games and sports including indoor archery, arts and crafts.

Healthy Heads is supported locally by Fleetwood Town Community Trust and Wyre Council.

Following the success of the Fleetwood Moves festival, the team from LPM Dance have been out and about with 'Spectacles by the Sea'.

Residents of the local care homes are enjoying interactive dance and music performances evoking the fun and excitement of a day at the seaside ... Fleetwood Hall Care Home said it was "Absolutely brilliant!"

LPM would like to thank Jordana from Fleetwood Primary Care Network for the connections with care homes and to Wyre Council, Arts Council and UK Shared Prosperity Fund for their support.

We don't often mention events and activities outside of the FY7 postcode but when there's a Fleetwood connection, we're happy to help.

Local resident Jen and her family have organised The Great Inflatables Walk in Blackpool on Sunday 7th September.

You can expect to see a unicorn, a polar bear, a pterodactyl and a t-rex, two sharks, a spider and many more creatures and characters travelling from The Pleasure Beach to Blackpool Tower, raising awareness and funds for Bone Cancer Research Trust. Read much more about Jen's reasons for supporting this cause and how you can get involved on Facebook here and we hope everyone has a great day!
