Community Connectors Fleetwood

Opening our new Information Centre is also an opportunity to launch something we discussed at our last Healthier Fleetwood Open Meeting ...

... the COMMUNITY CONNECTORS.

Reaching everyone in a community isn't easy, not everyone is online and many people prefer not to use social media. Community Connectors will be a network of individuals, groups and organisations sharing Good News with their family, friends, neighbours and workmates ideally in person or any way they can.

How do you get involved?

The easiest way is calling into our Information Centre on Lord Street, opposite St Peter's church or even just checking what's in the windows and telling others what you see.

Some of the community events and activities will produce posters and leaflets - pick up copies to put on noticeboards at work, school, the corner shop or church hall. Smaller groups won't have the resources for print so we'll look for opportunities to connect them to each other and benefit from joint-marketing, saving their money and time.

In addition to receiving the weekly Good News e-bulletins - sign up as a Community Connector and we will email you the posters we've been asked to share. Maybe your employer or club will be able to print a copy for display - it will only be a few prints now and then and always appropriate activities, not commercial events or professional services.

Many of you will already be sharing this information, making a real difference to the people you know ... Community Connectors is about adding to and expanding this great work.
