GOOD NEWS: 10th July
Hello again, we hope you are safe and well. It's for each of us to decide how much we want to get out into the community and how confident we are in the opportunities available. More venues are reopening and with that life feels a little closer to 'normal' so the theme of this week's Newsletter is very much about looking forward ...
BACK IN BUSINESS
Great to see Fleetwood Indoor Market reopening. With the necessary santizing and social distancing precautions the Town has one of its community hubs available again, providing shopping and the opportunity for people to reconnect.
BACK IN BUSINESS ... SOON
During lockdown local gyms and personal trainers like Maxi Fitness and Craig Broomhead have been supporting with on-line classes and lately using outdoor spaces. With the news gyms can also reopen, good luck to them as they make their plans for the future.
FIRST STEPS TO FITNESS
If you need a little help to become more active and healthier there's ideas for 10-minute workouts and links to some great apps which support and measure your progress on the NHS One You website.
A HEALTHY MIND TOO
Many people have found a positive aspect of lockdown is the time they've had to develop their artistic talents. Residents who have been part of or maybe even set up a writing group are invited to take part in a research project on how COVID-19 has affected them and encourage creativity in the future.
A HELPING HAND
New groups are starting all the time offering support to the whole community or to individuals who have more specific priorities. Fleetwood Gingerbread is for single parents and in the future they hope to hold meetings, offering a brew and support for mums and dads. Visit their Facebook page to find out more.
Until the next time ... Take Care and Stay Safe.
