Pantomime season is here!!
“Oh no, it isn’t” I hear you cry but as a massive pantomime fan, I can only shout back ... “Oh yes, it is”
Sunny and I had the pleasure of meeting the cast of Cinderella, the Marine Hall’s 2025 Pantomime, who are:
Vicky Entwistle as Fairy Godmother
David Potts as Potty Hard-up
Honey G as Honey Hard-up
Ben Sherlock as Buttons
Wayne Morgan as Dame Dolly Hard-up
Stacey Coleman as Cinderella
Rich Young as Prince Charming

A visit to the pantomime is a magical experience that brings people together to have fun at a time of year when things around us look rather bleak, dull and sometimes miserable just like the weather was when Sunny and I went along to meet everyone.
This year's pantomime is without doubt a festival of bright colours, fun and not forgetting the obligatory terrible jokes, the casts words not mine. The costumes Sunny and I saw really are a sight to behold especially Dame Dolly’s.
Wayne ‘Dame Dolly’ is a local actor from Bispham, he has designed and made all of his many costumes, the one he was wearing when Sunny and I met him was very impressive.
Stacey is not only playing the lead character of Cinderella but also the director, she has to keep all of the cast in line, which hasn’t been as easy as it sounds. I’ll let you come to your own conclusions as to who the tearaways might be.
Now it is fair to say that some of the actors are more known to us than others, already being established within the world of pantomime.
Vicky known to many of us as Janice Battersby ‘Coronation Street’, is really looking forward to playing the Fairy Godmother, normally playing the villain, she is much more used to getting boo’s rather than cheers, she is looking forward to being adored by the audience for a change.
The Ugly Sisters, David and Honey are also looking forward to the boo’s although they’re not sure how many of the good people of Fleetwood will boo them, when on stage they are more use to receiving cheers. This isn’t Honey G’s first time in Fleetwood, she has appeared at Flakefest and once again she is looking forward to meeting up with fans of the X-Factor whilst here.
I whole heartedly encourage the people of Fleetwood to prove David and Honey wrong by showing that Fleetwood people are the best 'booers' when it comes to panto.
Along side the regular panto performances, there will be designated school shows, plus an adult only version, for those of you who would like their pantomime to be a bit naughtier than the usual family friendly version.
From what Sunny and I saw when visiting the cast at the Marine Hall, this year really is going to be a spectacular show with lots of moments to enjoy for all the family with the chance to meet the cast in their costumes at the end of each show.
I have already bought my tickets and looking forward to going along to immerse myself in the wonderful world of pantomime yet again.
