Maurice & Elaine Christian

We were sorry to hear of the recent passing of Fleetwood resident Maurice Christian.

Many of you will know Maurice from chairing the first monthly meetings for Healthier Fleetwood, as well as taking an active role in the Patient Participation Group at Broadway Surgery. He and his wife Elaine, who sadly also passed away earlier in the year, volunteered for community groups and events around the Town until poor health and other commitments saw them step back a little.

Maurice and Elaine were among the very first residents to support us, they typified the spirit of a Healthier Fleetwood and played a valuable part in bringing the community together.

In the picture, taken in May 2018, Maurice is accepting an NHS 70 award on behalf of Healthier Fleetwood from Cat Smith MP.
