This week's bulletin focuses on things to do over the Easter holidays but we start with congratulations to FLEETWOOD TOWN COMMUNITY TRUST.
Members of the team were invited to the House of Commons last week to receive the award for EFL League 2 Community Club Organisation of the Year. The Trust has reached over 20,000 people over the past 12 months across the 39 projects, all of which has generated a social value cost saving of £10.5m.
The overall winners will be announced later this month at the EFL Awards - Norwich City and Rotherham United were winners from the other divisions.
Among the many activities that Fleetwood Town Community Trust supports are wellbeing classes with Jules from Fitness 50 ... and there's plenty of Good News about extending these opportunities!
Jules says, "Most of you will be aware that I run a free exercise class for all stages of the cancer journey on a Thursday, 2pm in Fleetwood at the Methodist church. Anyone who may benefit from these sessions is invited to join us tomorrow (Thursday 10th April) at 1.45pm to meet an important visitor who will play a major role for the future of this class. I hope some of you are able to join us."
Fleetwood Scarecrow Festival is on Saturday & Sunday, 28th & 29th June but the first figures have been spotted in the Town already!
Aunt Sally and Wurzel have been enjoying the recent good weather, not entirely sure they've been scaring away any birds! Find out more about the couple and other ideas to brighten up your green spaces and yards by following the Facebook page Love Your Alleyway Fleetwood.
And if gardening is a passion or something you'd like to try but don't have your own space to enjoy ... have a look at the Memorial Park Gardening Club?
Anyone can get involved, all abilities are welcome, even if you have limited knowledge or previous experience. This gardening club is a great way to improve your health and meet new people, learn or share skills, be out in the fresh air ... and enjoy a brew and a chat! Sessions take place every Wednesday morning from 9.30am - 12 noon and it's FREE to attend. Meet by The Pavilion, near the Cenotaph - the closest entrance is on Wolsely Road.
