Wyre Council is inviting residents, businesses, and visitors to share their views on exciting plans to rejuvenate Fleetwood’s waterfront. This is your chance to help shape the future of one of Wyre’s most iconic coastal destinations.
Working closely with leading consultants Arcadis, Wyre Council has developed a detailed masterplan for Fleetwood’s waterfront. This will position the council to take advantage of future Government funding opportunities and showcase the site at major events, attracting investment and driving regeneration for the area. The plans aim to transform the area into a vibrant, accessible, and sustainable space celebrating Fleetwood’s heritage and creating opportunities for leisure, tourism and community activities.
Included in the project are Marine Hall, Fleetwood Leisure Centre and the beach huts. Images of how these could look in the future were released a few months ago, this survey is a chance to find out more and help shape the plans. The consultation is open now and will run until Monday 22 December. Complete the short online survey and share what you think about the proposals.
We also have printed copies available from Healthier Fleetwood at The HUB.

A reminder that the FREE taster sessions for Neuro-Moves with LPM Dance start soon and run through next month.
People living with Parkinson’s in Wyre, Blackpool, Fylde and surrounding areas of the North West are encouraged to try this new dance class which is aiming to help more people to live well with a long term health condition. The sessions are being held, 10.30am to 11.45am on Wednesdays at Cleveleys Community Centre, Kensington Road. Paid classes will start on Wednesday 7th January and cost £3.50 per person.
It was White Ribbon Day earlier this week ... local residents and community groups showed their support.
Healthier Fleetwood was proud to partner Behind Closed Doors and others in sharing the message to end Men’s Violence against Women and by making the White Ribbon Pledge. The awareness day has passed but the importance of opening up conversations and creating a world where everyone is safe, equal and respected continues.
Fleetwood creative Joseph has donated some of his amazing work for a display on the corridor close to Healthier Fleetwood at The HUB.
Now his love of painting and living by the seaside has come together for a project called 'Eyes Along The Coast' ... an illustrated book of National Coastwatch Institution Buildings, of course including Rossall Observation Tower.
