Fleetwood's Memorial Park is a fantastic open, green space ... somewhere for local residents of all ages to feel proud of and enjoy all-year round.
Maintained by the hard-working team of ground staff, the programme of events. activities and litter-picks are hosted and supported by the volunteers from The Friends of Fleetwood Memorial Park and also the Mount Ward Wombles.
The Wombles are out and about on most Saturday mornings helping to keep the park and the surrounding area clean and tidy. This week they will be meeting at 10am on Highbury Avenue, opposite Eastwood Avenue and collecting for an hour or so. Equipment is provided, please dress for the weather.
Healthier Fleetwood is looking forward joining the Friends of Memorial Park a little later in the day to support the RSPB Big Garden Birdwatch weekend. Come and say hello at the gazebo near the Cenotaph, 11am - 1pm, to pick up a guide and a recording sheet.
