GOOD News: 20th November
As we write this week's Newsletter, it’s International Men’s Day, an opportunity to once again thank the Men’s Shed Fleetwood for their amazing community effort. They've had to adapt to the times but remain as busy as ever helping those in need, stepping in to change and save lives. Truly inspirational and a great example of what can be achieved. To Tony, Dave and all the guys ... take a bow.
A reminder that Fleetwood Museum is planning an exhibition for 2021 exploring the many stories and contributions that women have made to Fleetwood’s history past and present.
They are interested in objects, photos and stories that people may want to share around themes such as work, leisure time, sport and school.
The Museum also want nominations for your unsung hero from the past OR the present – a mother/sister/relative/friend who has made a difference to Fleetwood who you think needs to be recognised and thanked. You can contact Fleetwood Museum on 01253 876621 or info@fleetwoodmuseum.co.uk

Fleetwood resident Vicky has responded to own physical and mental health challenges by supporting the work of the Silence of Suicide charity.
She has asked us to spread her message that help is out there and people don't have to suffer in silence. Vicky's story was recently featured in an article in the Fleetwood Weekly News and for further information of the support available including the seven-day-a-week helpline, please see the Silence of Suicide website.
Several organisations in Fleetwood are working together to embrace the opportunities from the Kickstart job creation programme for 16 to 24 year olds.
Businesses across Wyre are invited to learn more at a free webinar on Wednesday December 2nd from 9.30am. Guest speakers at the webinar will include several members of the Fleetwood business, health and community sectors.
For groups working to support the Community during and in the recovery from COVID-19, funding is available from a partnership of Blackpool. Fylde & Wyre CVS, Wyre Council and Fylde Council – click here for information.
