Get involved in Restart a Heart Day!

Lancashire Adult Learning and North West Ambulance Service invite people to learn how to save a life to mark 'Restart a Heart Day'.

It’s never been easier to learn how to save a life as the organisations team up to deliver a FREE online lifesaving skills event.

Taking place on the eve of Restart a Heart Day, Thursday 15th October, the free online event will run between 8pm and 8.30pm and aims to train as many people as possible across the Red Rose County with vital lifesaving skills to become Lancashire Lifesavers.

Delivered through Zoom, the event will support adult learners to understand the difference between a heart attack and a cardiac arrest, as well as providing guidance on the correct compression technique, and how to remain calm in a lifesaving situation. Learners looking to sign up for the event can sign up at Eventbrite here

On Friday 16th October, Lancashire Adult Learning will also be supporting primary and secondary school-age children with these essential skills with the aim of creating an online First Aid Flash Mob.

Pupils will be supported with appropriate knowledge to help save a life through two online sessions. Any schools who are interested in taking part in the Lancashire Lifesavers initiative for Restart a Heart Day should contact Laura Myers at: laura.myers@nelsongroup.ac.uk
