Advent Calendar ... Day 6
There's a busy couple of weeks ahead for the staff and Friends of Fleetwood Library as they invite the community to join them for some festive fun.
Tomorrow (Tuesday 7th) is the Library's Christmas Coffee morning/afternoon from 10.30 to 2.30pm - drop in for a drink and cake, and to chat with the staff and other local residents.
On Wednesday morning (10am - 12noon), Healthier Fleetwood will be hosting a Christmas crafts session with the library, supporting the Lancashire and South Cumbria Health and Care Partnership 'Cards For Kindness' campaign. Make a card, include a message and the cards will be distributed to residents in local care homes and across the County. All the materials will be provided or you can make your own cards and drop them into the Library. More about this at https://www.healthierlsc.co.uk/CardsForKindness
And next week, Thursday 16th December, the library hosts 3 free sessions of Christmas flower arranging - 10am, 11am and 12noon. Places do need to be booked in advance, in person at the venue.
Fleetwood Library has always been a hub for the community, offering a range of books, DVDs, CDs, computer access and much more in a welcoming environment. Library services were maintained throughout most of the lockdown, with books available by order on-line and for safe collection.
In the New Year, all being well, many of Fleetwood Library's popular groups and events will resume, plus several new activities. Call in to speak to the team and find out more - for opening hours and info visit https://www.lancashire.gov.uk/.../find.../fleetwood-library/
