A message from the Couch To 5k team ... we just wanted to let you know that our free Couch to 5K programmes are back and you can book you space on them today! All of our Your Move Community Sessions are fun, free and for anybody of any ability.

What is it? Well it's really simple, the Your C25K has been designed to get you off the couch and running in just 9 weeks. Grab your trainers and our run leaders will get you running 5K in 9 weeks. The best thing, it's 100% completely FREE!

Running is easier than you might think and it’s a fantastic way to improve your physical, mental and social wellbeing. Running on a regular basis will improve the health of your heart and lungs due to the demands that it requires. But many people don’t realise that running on a regular basis can benefit your mental wellbeing.

So are you interested yet? You have started the journey to get you up and running in 9 weeks.

It’s easy to not go out and get your run done. So by following the help of your fully qualified run leader you'll be kept up to date with loads of little tips and tricks to make sure you breeze through the next 9 weeks.

The Hitchens completed their Couch to 5K programme at the end of 2017. Claire Hitchen encouraged her 14 year old daughter, Beth to give it a try as part of her Duke of Edinburgh Bronze Award.

Beth really enjoyed running with a friendly group who encouraged each other and was surprised by how the programme really works. "The programme evidently works. You can make new friends, cement current friendships, have fun and improve your fitness!"
