ARE YOU A FAMILY OF FANTASTIC COOKS?

We're always looking at ways of spreading the word about the benefits of diet, nutrition and healthy cooking, our Young Chef challenge is designed to encourage young people to cook more with their families.

So this looks like an interesting and fun way for local families to show their culinary skills .... BBC2 is making a new series of the well-loved show The Big Family Cooking Showdown and looking for new families to take part. Is Mum the Queen of the Classics, Is Dad always experimenting with new recipes? Does Aunty get excited by unusual ingredients?

They're looking for teams of 3 from the same family although this can be any combination (aunt, sister, mum, husband, father-in-law) and they don’t all have to live in the same house. It's about finding Britain’s best family of home cooks!
