IDEAS IN ACTION .... SUPPORTING FAMILES TO COPE

Another local group set up by and for residents is also making progress. COOT stands for Challenges of our Teens and sets out to offer support and a chance for families with young people going through troubled times to share their experiences.

Local resident Mandy had the idea and has now arranged a meeting for Friday 23rd February, at Westview Community Association on Eden Avenue from 10am to 11.30am.

This first meeting will be to see how the group want to go forward and the idea is to meet every week.

Several families have been in touch to say that knowing what to expect and how to prepare for a meeting with the social care teams would be very useful.
