LET'S TALK ABOUT MENTAL HEALTH

Staff from the Mount View Practice on Dock Street were out and about in Fleetwood singing feel-good songs to mark World Mental Health Day on Tuesday 10th October. Starting from the surgery they called in to the Mountcroft Centre, Fleetwood Market, along Lord Street and down to Freeport.

The songs included Bring Me Sunshine, I'd Like To Teach The World To Sing, Always Look On The Bright Side Of Life and several more while the group also handed out leaflets and raised awareness about the importance of discussing mental health.

Dr Mark Spencer of Mount View practice said, "Mental health is one of the biggest challenges we face in Fleetwood so this is a great way for us to promote an important message while having a bit of fun at the same time."

Healthier Fleetwood is a not-for-profit organisation supporting the physical and mental health of the Town's residents by connecting them to each other, services and voluntary groups in the community. As an individual's confidence grows they take more control of their own wellbeing and an active role in the decisions that affect them. We are independent of but work in close partnership with the many organisations supporting the community.
