Advent Calendar Day 13

Have you seen the wooden Christmas tree markers and QR codes popping up along the Esplanade and around Fleetwood? They are the latest handiwork of the wonderful local residents behind the Fleetwood Wellbeing Way. If you have a smartphone, scan the code and it will take you to some festive fun including singalongs, quizzes and more!

The Wellbeing Way came from a Lancashire Mind community initiative and is entirely volunteer-led. All year round you can find new challenges displayed on posters at the old bus stops and sites between the Knott End Ferry and The Log Cabin - in itself, just walking the route and chatting with friends, family and work colleagues is a great way to support your wellbeing.

You can find more challenges themed around the 'Five Ways of Wellbeing' on their very busy Facebook page and the committee members all play active roles in a number of other community groups and projects.

The founders say, “By sharing how we've completed challenges and by sharing ideas for future challenges, we are building a healthier, supportive and caring community.”

Thank you to everyone involved in the Fleetwood Wellbeing Way and we look forward to seeing your ideas for 2023!

Healthier Fleetwood is a not-for-profit organisation supporting the physical and mental health of the Town's residents by connecting them to each other, services and voluntary groups in the community. As an individual's confidence grows they take more control of their own wellbeing and an active role in the decisions that affect them. We are independent of but work in close partnership with the many organisations supporting the community.
