FOOD FOR THOUGHT .... IS IT WORTH IT?

Local resident Mary Shaw has been looking at the benefit of taking a little time to prepare your vegetables rather than buying pre-prepared.

"When you are rushing to do your supermarket shop you may think it's quicker to buy pre-prepared vegetables, after all your time is precious. But hiding in the back of a kitchen drawer you will probably have a vegetable peeler or a suitable knife you can use for preparing your vegetables.

Compare these prices and the next time you shop, think about the true cost and value of what you put in your trolley!"
