    PLANS FOR NEW COMMUNITY OPEN SPACE ON DISPLAY

    Fleetwood residents are invited to view plans for a new open space project within the Westview Community Centre allotments. The event is being held at the Centre on Tuesday 26th September from 2pm to 7pm and a number of options for the plot will be on display. On the day visitors can also enjoy free tea and coffee and food made from produce grown on the allotments.     Healthier Fleetwood has funding available to support projects in the community that will promote good physical and mental health for people living and working in FY7 postcodes. We want to hear your ideas and help you get them started. The most important thing is the idea comes from residents and benefits the Fleetwood community.     RESIDENTS TAKING CONTROL

    We'd like to thanks everyone who attended the open meeting at St Nicholas and in particular to Maxine Garrett who took on the role of host and spoke with great passion for Healthier Fleetwood. Maxine is a local girl, running her own business in the Town and bringing up two children and expressed the importance of the community working together to improve Fleetwood for everyone's benefit.     Healthier Fleetwood is a not-for-profit organisation supporting the physical and mental health of the Town's residents by connecting them to each other, services and voluntary groups in the community. As an individual's confidence grows they take more control of their own wellbeing and an active role in the decisions that affect them. We are independent of but work in close partnership with the many organisations supporting the community.
