GOOD NEWS: 25th September

Another week and another round-up of just some of things we think you'd like to hear about ... We had a smashing morning at Fleetwood Museum on Monday. A small group of local residents from the ANON art group were able to spend a couple of hours sketching, and just as importantly chatting, together in the boathouse with The Harriet as their inspiration. Our thanks to Ben at the Museum for his hospitality and the group will be continuing, safely and responsibly, in future weeks within the venue’s COVID health & safety policy. Thank you to the many individuals, groups and organisations who are continuing to find ways to support the Fleetwood community as the social distancing regulations and procedures change so rapidly. Last year Healthier Fleetwood and other local partners including the Fleetwood Trust and Harmony & Health supported MacMillan Cancer to hold a coffee morning at the North Euston.  It was a great success with around 100 guests and over £650 was raised for the charity. This year of course, things are very different but MacMillan Coffee Mornings are still going ahead on Friday 25th September. If you are planning to hold a safe, socially distanced coffee morning at a group, workplace or in your own home, we’d love to hear from you. We're worki

Healthier Fleetwood is a not-for-profit organisation supporting the physical and mental health of the Town's residents by connecting them to each other, services and voluntary groups in the community. As an individual's confidence grows they take more control of their own wellbeing and an active role in the decisions that affect them. We are independent of but work in close partnership with the many organisations supporting the community.
