On Saturday 28th April we were delighted to be asked along to support the Fleetwood Town Flyers walking football club at the FA Peoples Cup Finals. The event took place at the impressive St George’s Park facility near Burton, training base for the England national team and many others. The Flyers had reached the last stage of the competition by winning the North West area finals a few weeks earlier beating the teams from some pretty big clubs along the way. After playing 5 group matches Fleetwood qualified for the semi-finals and then beat the pre-tournament favourites on penalties to make the final. By now the competition was being covered live by the BBC on the iPlayer red button and the F

Healthier Fleetwood was invited to a meeting recently about how we all use our local beaches, promenades and coastal areas to support health & wellbeing. As part of the conversation we want to ask Fleetwood residents what's the best thing about living by the sea and what do you use the beach for? Have you got any ideas about new activities and events that could be organised? Please email your positive suggestions to us at or come along to the Healthier Fleetwood Open Meeting on May 2nd at Emmanuel Church, Mount Road and share them with other residents. Get involved and help make a difference.

Healthier Fleetwood is a not-for-profit organisation supporting the physical and mental health of the Town's residents by connecting them to each other, services and voluntary groups in the community. As an individual's confidence grows they take more control of their own wellbeing and an active role in the decisions that affect them. We are independent of but work in close partnership with the many organisations supporting the community.
