Discover the Fleetwood Voice

Fleetwood residents are invited to the world premiere of ‘Fleetwood Voice’, a specially commissioned composition and multimedia performance by composer John McHugh of Music In Mind, performed by musicians from the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra at Marine Hall Fleetwood, 22nd February.

Based on the melodies and rhythms from the speech of the Fleetwood people, this new video opera will celebrate the unique identity of Fleetwood from it’s elegant beginnings as the Brighton of the North through it’s rich heritage as a fishing port to the aspirations of the future as the town embarks on a new chapter in its history.

Fleetwood Voice will be performed live as part of an evening that will also feature a range of local artists including Phantom Voices, Scolds Bridal, Cartoon Food, Dave Pearce and Dick Gillingham plus exhibitions from local schools and photographers.

This is a FREE EVENT but tickets are limited – please collect tickets from the Box Office at Marine Hall in person or reserve on-line here.

The Fleetwood Voice project has been led by Regenda Homes is partnership with a number of other organisations working in the Town.
