Opportunities to learn and try something new …. all free and in Fleetwood!
Do you love cycling in the fresh air and meeting new people? Would you be willing to share your passion and lead a short bike ride? Wyre Council already deliver a successful health walks programme through their team of committed volunteer walk leaders and they are now expanding the programme to include cycling as part of this offer. Volunteers are needed who can offer their time to work with the Council to deliver a year round programme of health rides initially off road and based from Wyre Estuary Country Park (Stanah) and Fleetwood Promenade. You don’t need to be a cycling expert or have any previous experience, but you do need to be confident riding a bike and be happy to support beginner cyclists. Rides will be cycled at a relaxed, easy pace and will provide an opportunity for people to meet others while improving their health. There would always be at least 2 ride leaders on each ride and all the necessary training will be provided. Volunteering to become a cycle leader will provide you with new knowledge and skills. Becoming a Cycle Leader will take you out into Wyre’s Great Outdoors and will help you to meet with other like minded people. If this is something you would like to get involved with, or would like more information, please contact Wyre’s Volunteer Co-ordinator on 01253 887504 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
