Further funding for Active Lancashire and their work in Fleetwood
Fleetwood has done it again!
Last night (Friday 29th November) the Healthier Fleetwood Neighbourhood / Fleetwood Primary Care Network was awarded Best in the UK at the General Practice Awards.
A primary care network is a partnership between a neighbourhood’s care services such as GPs, pharmacists, emergency services, support teams and others plus input from residents. Fleetwood’s neighbourhood is being recognised as one of the leading examples of how this approach can make a difference with Healthier Fleetwood encouraging residents to take an active role.
The ceremony was in London yesterday evening and our thoughts and condolences are also with the families of those involved in yesterday’s incident in the capital.
The award was accepted by Pauline Kennedy, Dr Mark Spencer and Karen Boylan (2nd, 3rd and 4th from the left below) on behalf of the Fleetwood Primary Care Network and Healthier Fleetwood.
Local resident Pauline said, “I was honoured and proud to accept the award with Mark and Karen in recognition of the hard work everyone puts into Healthier Fleetwood and our wonderful town.”
