Visitors to Fleetwood impressed with our community

Recently we welcomed some visitors from Newcastle Gateshead and also from Fife. They met with and heard from many of the resident-led groups and agencies making a difference in our community.

We’ve received a letter of thanks today from the organiser of the North East group saying …

“It’s been a very reflective time for us since we returned to Newcastle and Gateshead and we all came away feeling very inspired by the collaborative work that you are doing in Fleetwood that is being led by ordinary citizens enabled by services across health, care, local authority, schools, voluntary sector, faith groups, leisure, housing, police, DWP etc.”

“I just wanted to formally thank you and ask you to pass on our thanks to all the groups and meetings that allowed us to join in and ask questions on what they had done and how they had done it.”

“I hope that everybody can take some pride in not only knowing that they are delivering a healthier Fleetwood but also helping us to deliver a healthier Newcastle and healthier Gateshead. We hope that in the not too distant future we can start sharing what we have done too.”

The party from Fife have also said how much they enjoyed their visit to Fleetwood and the positivity of the community.

Healthier Fleetwood would like to add our thanks again to everyone involved in such an inspirational day, sharing why we all Love Fleetwood.
